Redhawk’s Dewey Beach (”Dewey”)
2003 Premium German Mare
Sire: D’Olympic (Donnerhall)
Dam Sire: Wolkenstein (Weltmeyer), Rubenstein
Congratulations to Dan and Julie Hoxmeier for their purchase of Redhawk’s Dewey Beach as a fun horse for Dan and a possible addition to their fledgling breeding program. We wish them hours of fun and fantastic results!
“Dewey Beach” is by 2000 Vice World Champion “D’Olympic” out of “StPrSt Wanja” shown below at the 2003 Rheinbollen Foal Championship where she scored an incredible 8.93 to become the leading dressage type filly.
“Dewey Beach” is the dam of 2008 German Oldenburg Verband Premium filly, ”Redhawk’s Felicity.”
Just starting under saddle after putting a Premium Oldenburg filly on the ground, Dewey is proving herself to be her Mother’s daughter. Very trainable. Easy and willing. “Dewey Beach’s” dam is States Premium Mare (StPrSt) “Wanja.” She is by “Wolkenstein” out of a “Rubinstein I” mare. During her Mare Performance Test in Germany, “Wanja” was ranked #5 out of 40 mares. The guest rider/judges gave “Wanja” the highest rideability score amongst the 40 mares.

“Dewey” at the Southern Germany Foal Show, where she placed second to a colt Red Hawk Ranch later purchased as an approved stallion, now showing successfully under the name, “Redhawk’s Absolut.”
Redhawk’s Delaware Bay
2003 Premium Baden-Wurttemberger Mare
Sire: Dacaprio (Davignon, Caprimond)
Dam Sire: Lanciano
Top quality premium mare imported from the Baden-Wurttemberg area of Southern Germany. Caprimond gives her impeccable beauty and confirmation. Well into her first year of basic training, with a two-month break to catch up with a growth spurt.
“Delaware” put a premium Oldenberg filly on the ground in 2003 by Fidertanz. “Florenciana” will enter our breeding program this Spring with a breeding to the spectacular Brandenburger stallion, Quaterback.

Stallion Sale Results indicate prices in Germany are on the move
Results from the Suddeutsch (Southern German) Stallion Approvals and Auktion in Munich earlier this month might be an indicator that economic pressure on the horse market might be seeing relief.
Southern Germany has long known for good quality horses that are consistent with some of the higher income demographics of the country, but without the marketing powerhouse of the Northern Germany breed associations, the region has been a “best-kept secret” for good deals on horses.
Although good deals were still to be had, the top pricing for this Stallion Auktion suggests the secret may be “out of the bag” for buying in Southern Germany.
A spectacular 2007 dressage Stallion by Flamur out of a Likota xx dam was the licensing champion and sold for 330,000 euro (roughly $377,850 assuming a 1.45 exchange rate).
A 2007 dressage stallion by Hotline out of a Sandro Hit dam was the reserve champion. He was not for sale.
The champion jumper stallion was by Concetto out of a Contender dam. He sold for 105,000 euro.
A 2007 approved premium dressage stallion by Sir Donnerhall I out of a Davignon I dam sold for 120,000 euro.
The average price for approved PREMIUM stallions sold at the auktion was 116,600 euro - quite respectable.
The average price for approved stallions sold was 21,708 euro - now there’s a good deal!
