Redhawk’s White Sox (”Sox”)
2003 Oldenburg Gelding; 16.2h
Sire: “Wonderful” (”Weltmeyer” x “Bolero”)
Damsire: “Volckmar”
“White Sox” received his name because his four white socks were the first thing everyone noticed when he was born. This handsome gelding decends from superstars: Hanoverian stallions ”Weltmeyer” and “Bolero” on his sire’s side, and KWPN’s “Abgar” on his damside.
White Sox has tons of presence…very uphill and balanced. A good addition to any show barn or advanced riders’ training program. He competed at first level in 2009 with Region Seven Young Rider Gold Medalist, Jacky Meinen here at Red Hawk Ranch. He is currently schooling 2nd level. Changes will be easy for him.

Redhawk’s Soliloquy (”Diva”)
2000 Dutch Mare 16.1hh
Sire: Idocus (x Equador x Votaire) - represented Holland in the Athens Olympics
Damsire: Volkmar (x Abgar)
“Diva” is a sensational mare with the quality to be competitive as a Young Rider horse. Currently schooling 3rd level dressage with Region 7 Young Rider gold medal team member Jacky Meinen under the watchful eye of Olympian Kathleen Raine. “Diva” (registered name, “Soliloquy”) impresses with the looseness of her gaits. Diva has been started in the double-bridle, is confirming flying changes, half pirouettes, just learning piafe and passage.
This is a horse who gives 110% in the show ring and draws the eye of every competitor’s coach.

Redhawk’s Doppler Shift (”Radar”)
2000 Mecklenburger Mare. Liver Chestnut. 16′2hh.
Sire: D’Olympic X Donnerhall
Damsire: Dobrock
This coffee-grounds-coloured liver chestnut mare was imported from Germany during the year that her sire, “D’Olympic,” became the Vice World Champion for Young Dressage Horses, and after her premium foal award by the Mecklenburg Verband.
During her inspection by the Oldenburg Verband (for placement into their Main Mare Book), the jury awarded 8’s for “Doppler Shift’s” impulsion, elasticity, breed & sex type, and overall impression & development.
“Radar” comes from an amazing mare line. Her Dam was a States Premium mare with a 9.16 on her performance test. “Radar” herself has put two premium Oldenberg foals on the ground and is now a grandmother with a premium Oldenberg grand daughter.
She has just started her show career under gold medal young rider team member Jaclyn Meinen.
Redhawk’s Hamlet
1989 KWPN Gelding; dk bay; 17′1hh
Sire: Caruso
Damsire: Amor
“Hamlet” came to us sight unseen through a broker we used to sell two grand prix horses in Germany back in 2005. Olaf called Lynn and said he found her a horse. At the time, Hamlet was 16 and had been retired from International Grand Prix competition.
When he and Lynn met, it was love at first sight and a trusting bond began. Hamlet was the first horse to occupy the show barn after its completion at Red Hawk Ranch in 2006. AND he was the first horse Lynn was to get back with after a bad accident on a young horse came close to killing her four years earlier. He and Lynn started immediately down a path of her trying to “retrain him” from having been ridden by a strong man all his life, and of him trying to “retrain her” to have better feel and connection. Reports Lynn as they come out the other end three years later: “After years of full-time training, Hamlet has had the patience to let me learn from my own mistakes. No one else is on him everyday to “fix things” and I continue to learn as I constantly return to basics with him. Thankfully, Hamlet comes from extremely good genes and is still sound and going strong at age 20!”
Lynn now works once a week with former Olympian Kathleen Raine and is preparing to get back into the FEI ring with Hamlet to finish the points needed for her USDF Gold Medal.
Red Hawk’s Royal Dream (”Dream”)
2000 Imported Mare
Sire: Rhodiamant
Damsire: Weltmeyer
After putting three premium German Oldenberg Verband foals on the ground, Dream starts her show career this year with Jacklyn Meinen on board. Schooling 3rd level, she is showing 1st and 2nd at the moment with lots of attention and scores in the high 60s.
Dream was a premium foal bred in Southern Germany, where to this day, a photo of her as a foal is used on the cover of foal auction brochures. From a long, sought-after damline, it is no surprise she has been as successful as she has been both as a valuable brood mare and a competitor.
Dream was made a Grandmother this year and is now has Daughter and Grandaughter here at Red Hawk Ranch.
Red Hawk’s Slipstream
Redhawk’s Slipstream
2009 Premium German Oldenburg Filly
Sire: Sire Donnerhall
DamSire: Red Hawk’s Picolleta (Pik’s Pride x Rohdiamant x Weltmeyer)
In this picture, Slipstream is 3 months old and about to be inspected during the 2009 Oldenburg Verband Inspection tour. Born with a natural balance and an independent character, we look forward to watching Slip grow up! PS…she got her name after slipping thru the fence when moving Mom and Baby at 1 day old to make room for the next foaling!

Redhawk’s Slipstream was awarded “Premium” status - a rich reward for the Red Hawk Ranch breeding program

Redhawk’s Don Sargasso
Redhawk’s Don Sargasso
2009 Premium German Oldenburg colt
Sire: Don Shuffro
DamSire: Red Hawk’s Serendipity (Sir Oldenburg)
The Sargasso Sea is the only sea with no boundaries…a perfect name for an extraordinary foal born 10 days from when this photo was taken. Super athlete, great character. Whatever else could we ask for?
August 23, 2009 - Oldenberg Mare and Foal Inspection
Redhawk’s Don Sargasso pleased spectators and inspectors alike, winning not only the coveted and difficult to achieve award of “Premium foal,” but was also the status of “Stallion Prospect” (which barely 2% of all colts in Germany achieve) AND the award of “Foal of Distinction.”
An amazing day for Red Hawk Ranch.

Redhawk’s Houdini (aka “Dini”)
2005 Oldenburg Gelding
Sire: Herzburg
DamSire: Rubicell (x Rubinstein I)
4-yr-old “Dini” bred by Red Hawk Ranch and ridden by amateur owner Dee Elliot in a clinic with Spanish trainer, Alfredo Hernandez. “Dini” was just backed this year and has spent the past few months getting out and seeing the world before settling in to work. Dee has done a great job getting him prepared for his life in dressage! This shot was taken after Alfredo spent some time doing in-hand work to test Houdini’s aptitude for Piaffe-Passage. Says Alfredo, “This horse has a PERFECT mind!”
