Mare and Foal Inspection August 10 at Red Hawk Ranch

Red Hawk Ranch will again host inspectors from the acclaimed German Oldenberg Verband on Friday, August 10, for the Ranch’s 4th annual Mare and Foal Inspection.

“California breeders are creating high quality foals. Our collective mission should be to provide top young horses to American buyers so that they don’t think they have to buy airfare to Holland or Germany to get their next competition horse,” declares Bob DeGour, head of Red Hawk Ranch’s breeding program. “This is one more opportunity for us to educate and excite American horsepeople about the quality of sport horse breeding in Southern California.”

Breeders will be coming in from Riverside and San Diego Counties to present their mares and foals. Bob and his wife, Lynn, will present three mares and four foals to the Oldenberg Verband in the California inspection and one in Germany:

It is confirmed! A repeat of last January’s VERY SUCCESSFUL Young Horse Development Program with Oldenberg Verband Vice Breed Director Katrin Burger will be held at Red Hawk Ranch the first weekend in November.

At the innaugural program, over 120 trainers and young horse owners from all over the West and Canada came for a very hands-on program with demonstration horse-rider combinations from age three to age six. (See feedback on our News Page).

This time, we will host the program on a Saturday/Sunday, November 3rd and 4th.

We will provide a discount in tuition to those who pay in advance. More details to follow, but basic audit pre-registration for the two days will be $50 for GOV members and $75 for non-members. Price at the door will be $100 an $150.

Details to follow in terms of program and horse/rider combinations. It will be a very similar format as last time with a focus on the natural training progression of young horses.

The Registration Form is up and available. Pre-registration prices are in effect for any payment arriving prior to November 2. If you provide us with your email address, we will be happy to confirm when your check arrives.

Dear Bob,

I hope you, Lynn and your horses are all fine. The weekend from 2nd/4th of November will be o.k.

It will be the same program using demonstration riders to show training techniques of young horses. I know your November weather is better than last January.

Many greetings,

Katrin
